Tarpaulin size guide: 2x3, 3x5 or 4x6 ft — which one do you need?

"Anong size po?" is the first question we ask for every tarp order. The right size depends on where it will hang and how far people will be when they read it.

Quick guide

• 2×3 ft — greetings on a door or gate, table signs, small store notices. Readable up to about 3 meters.
• 3×4 ft / 3×5 ft — the favourite for birthdays, binyag and graduation tarps on a wall or fence.
• 4×6 ft — party backdrops, stage tarps and storefront banners. Good for photo walls.
• 4×8 ft and up — business signage, event stages and road-facing banners.

A simple rule for text

For every 3 meters of viewing distance, your main text should be at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) tall. If people will read your tarp from across the street, go big and keep the words few.

Portrait or landscape?

Landscape works best for backdrops and store banners. Portrait (vertical) works for streamers, narrow walls and posts.
